On August 13, 2006, we received permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: [Etree] Artist addition - Big With Seed
Greetings, all!
Derek here from Big With Seed, a Pittsburgh-based rock and soul band.
It's certainly past our due time and we'd love to be added to the
archive. Some taper friends already have a few shows ready to roll
and are just waiting on us to be added to the archive.
We certainly encourage taping and/or trading of our live shows. The
more that know our music, the better! We'd also like to offer
soundboard recordings when available. For any and all recordings,
soundboard or not, we'd love to meet the tapers first!
Also, I wanted to ask if there was a way (though I doubt the event
will occur) for us to delete a show should something (sound
quality/too much crowd noise during show) be extraordinarily bad about
the recording...thanks!
I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for the wonderful
services you provide. I've been listening to shows of bands that I
love and bands that I never heard of for quite sometime now.

It is certainly fine to include the "lossy" formats along with the
lossless-formats. I think a lot of users, particularly those who
haven't used archive very much, are attracted to the mp3 option.
